Rachel and Brice first met one cold February when Brice was recovering from laser eye surgery, but decided to go out to a friend’s birthday in Manhattan anyway. With Brice being essentially blind, Rachel saw he was struggling to navigate the dark crowded East Village streets in his medical sunglasses, and took him by the hand to guide him safely. They didn’t meet again until New Years Eve the following year, when Brice could finally see clearly and felt a spark as soon as he looked in Rachel’s eyes. They didn’t share a kiss that midnight, but they have every year since.

Since that day, Rachel and Brice have done everything they can to explore the world together, create together, and grow together. Rachel is known for taking time each day to remember, preserve, and hold their special moments close to her heart, while Brice is always going out of his way to find new things for them to experience. From a six month stint together in New Zealand, to baking bread in Vienna, to making washi paper in Kyoto, to building a boat for two weeks in central Maine, they try to take their love and knead it into the world by doing. They can’t wait to celebrate their love with all of you!
